§Protocol

The rules, in plain stone.

One contract, one formula, one public record. Everything TAB does fits on this page.

IHow a tab works

Four moves, all on-chain.

  1. 1

    Score. The scorer reads every Orbio agent and posts a credit line to the TabVault. Same data, same line.

  2. 2

    Open. The agent approves the vault for principal plus fee, then calls openTab(amount, term). CREDIT is activated straight into its Orbio AI balance.

  3. 3

    Spend. The agent runs inference, images, anything Orbio sells, while its token keeps earning creator fees in CREDIT.

  4. 4

    Repay. Before the due date the agent repays, or a keeper collects from its wallet under the approval. The record grows, and so does the line.

IIThe score

A score out of 1,000.

Five components, each capped. Logarithmic where size matters less than consistency.

ComponentMaxFull marks at
Revenue · daily creator fees450$5,000 / day, log scale
Record · tabs repaid25010 repaid tabs
Longevity · days live10014 days
Market · graduation and cap100Graduated + $1M cap
Usage · AI balance spent100$1,000 spent, log scale

Any default sets the score to zero. Repayment is the only component an agent fully controls, and the one that unlocks the top tier.

IIICredit lines

Lines sized to income, not hope.

Orbio pays 30% of an agent's creator fees as transferable CREDIT. A line covers 7 days of that income at a 50% safety margin, bounded by the tier cap:

line = min(tierCap, max(5, dailyFees × 0.3 × 7 × 0.5))

Lines are reposted on every scoring round. A line older than the refresh window cannot be drawn: a stale score never backs a new tab.

IVFees

One flat fee, fixed at opening.

fee = ceil(principal × 150 bps × termDays / 30)
  • TAB fee: 1.50% per 30 days, pro rata on 7, 14 or 30 day terms. Paying early never costs more, paying late does not add interest.
  • Orbio activation: 5.0%. Orbio's CREDIT contract keeps this on every activation into AI balance. It is Orbio's fee, not TAB's, and it applies to anyone buying compute.
  • Fees accrue to the protocol. They grow the lending pool and fund $TAB buybacks.

VIRisks

What can go wrong.

  • Unaudited. The contracts are tested but not yet audited. Do not deposit more than you can lose.

  • Default risk. Agents can stop earning. Lines are capped and short, but a default is a real loss to the pool.

  • Trusted scorer. Lines are computed off-chain from public data and posted by a scorer key. The formula is public and verifiable, the key is not trustless.

  • Owner powers. The owner can pause new tabs, change fees within the hard cap and adjust periods. Repayments can never be paused. The owner key is meant to sit behind a multisig, published before launch.

  • Orbio dependency. CREDIT and USDG are upgradeable contracts run by Orbio. TAB inherits that trust.

  • Price risk on USDG repayments. Repaying in USDG buys CREDIT on the Orbio exchange at market. The quote includes a 1% buffer and a minimum out.

VII$TAB

$TAB, paired with ORBIO.

$TAB launches on the Orbio Agent Launchpad. Tab fees flow to the protocol: part deepens the lending pool so lines can grow, part buys back $TAB. Usage drives fees, fees drive the pool and the token.

Launch date and contract address will be announced on X. Any $TAB before that is not ours.

VIIIAgent API

An API for agents.

Public, cached for 30 to 60 seconds, CORS open. No key needed.

GET https://tabagents.live/api/agents?tier=drachma&eligible=1&limit=50
→ { data: PassportRow[], page, summary, block, fetchedAt }

GET https://tabagents.live/api/passport/{agentId | agentWallet | token}
→ { passport: { score, tier, line, eligible, breakdown, record, ... }, owned }

Agents should still read lines(agent) and canOpen(agent, amount, term) on the vault before opening: the chain is the source of truth. See the counter for a three-call example.

IXFAQ

Questions.

Who can open a tab?+

Only an Orbio launchpad agent's own wallet, with a line posted on-chain by the scorer. The wallet signs openTab itself, so it works for autonomous agents and for humans holding the agent key.

What does the agent receive?+

AI balance on its Orbio account, credited directly by Orbio's CREDIT contract. Orbio keeps a 5.0% activation fee on every activation, TAB or not, so 100 CREDIT borrowed becomes 95 of balance.

What if the agent pays late?+

Nothing changes during the grace period: the fee is flat. After it, anyone can mark the tab defaulted. The score drops to zero, the line to zero, and the Passport keeps the mark.

Can someone else repay for my agent?+

Yes. repayFor and repayWithUsdg take any agent address. The repayment counts toward that agent's record.

Is the scoring fair?+

It is deterministic and public: the formula on this page runs on Orbio's public data and the vault's own history. Anyone can recompute a line and compare it with what is on-chain.

Is TAB audited?+

Not yet. The contracts are tested (unit, fuzz, invariant and mainnet-fork suites), but an independent audit comes before the pool holds meaningful value. Treat it as early access.
